Job Description:

Blackstone Environmental is seeking to retain an experienced Environmental Technician (ET) for its Overland Park, Kansas office. The Technician will execute various assignments related to solid waste facility construction oversight and testing; soils and geologic and/or engineering support; facility regulatory compliance and permitting; and other environmental services.

Job Requirements:

Expected duties will include the following:

  • Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) oversight and soil testing.
  • Environmental related activities that may include field surface and subsurface investigation, geologic logging, well installation, monitoring and sampling activities, remedial operation and maintenance.
  • Environmental data collection.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills and strong personal computer skills.

Duties may require travel and work in the field. The ideal candidate must be able to work successfully as a member and as a leader of a project team, and independently as necessary to execute assignments.

Education:

  • Preferred: Associate’s in Environmental Science, Geology, Geohydrology, Earth Science, Chemistry, or equivalent. Field experience may be substituted for education.

Experience:

Actual environmental experience consistent with the described duties is preferred. The level of experience accepted may vary, but preference will be provided to applicants with a minimum of two to five years’ field experience.
