Job Description:

Blackstone Environmental, Inc. is seeking to retain an experienced AutoCAD/Environmental Technician (ET) for its St. Louis, Missouri operations. This position will be based in Blackstone’s St. Louis, Missouri office. The Technician will execute various assignments related to solid waste facility design, operations and permitting; soils and geologic and/or engineering support; facility regulatory compliance and permitting; and other environmental services. 

Job Requirements:

Expected duties will include the following:

  • Drafting duties related to solid waste facility design, operations and permitting.
  • Environmental related activities that may include field surface and subsurface investigation, geologic logging, well installation, monitoring and sampling activities, remedial operation and maintenance. 
  • Highly proficient with application of AutoCAD to engineering design related to solid waste facilities, environmental remediation, and general civil projects.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills and strong personal computer skills. 

Duties may require travel and work in the field. The ideal candidate must be able to work successfully as a member and as a leader of a project team, and independently as necessary to execute assignments.


  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Geohydrology, Earth Science, or equivalent. Field and/or drafting experience may be substituted for education.


Actual environmental experience consistent with the described duties is preferred. The level of experience accepted may vary, but preference will be provided to applicants with a minimum of two to five years’ field experience.
