Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Environmental Manager/Hydrogeologist/Scientist to join our Environmental team. This role is ideal for someone who has a strong background in geology or environmental science, with specialized experience in landfill groundwater monitoring, sampling, and comprehensive report writing a plus. The successful candidate will successfully manage projects, employees and clients related to groundwater assessment and remediation, general environmental projects, surface and groundwater water resources and maintain fruitful relationships with clients.
Job Duties/Requirements:
- Support Blackstone’s Environmental and Solid Waste practices through client development and management, project execution, and staff development.
- Help identify and develop new business opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals, and take an active leadership role in the development of new business with existing clients.
- Assist Blackstone in developing new business from private and public clients.
- Serve as a technical resource for environmental and groundwater projects.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation, including site assessments, monitoring results, and remediation proposals.
- Manage project timelines and resources to ensure timely completion of tasks within budget.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, understand their needs and provide expert advice to help them manage their environmental risks.
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Geologic Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the environmental and hydrogeology fields. Experience in landfill groundwater monitoring and sampling is highly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and effectively present information.
- A professional geologist or similar certification is preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License
