Job Description:

Blackstone Environmental, Inc. is seeking to retain a Project Engineer (E.I.T. or PE). The Project Engineer will provide technical services to support a wide array of civil and environmental projects. Projects may include solid waste facility design, field geotechnical and environmental monitoring and sampling, water resource engineering, construction oversight, AutoCAD drafting, civil grading and drainage plans, providing basic engineering calculations to support project goals, and work as an extension of project engineers in providing design support. Work deliverables will include calculations, design plans, field documentation, and monitoring reports. Blackstone will provide on-the-job training as part of the training process with the engineer expected to work toward obtaining his or her professional engineer’s license.

Job Requirements:

Expected duties and on-the-job training will include the following:

  • Performing engineering analysis and AutoCAD design work;
  • Completion of engineering and environmental related tasks and projects;
  • Performance of engineering and environmental field work including construction oversight, field sampling, data collection, and various other tasks; 
  • Assisting with and gaining experience with business development activities;
  • Other duties as needed to assist with the overall success of the firm.

Duties may require travel and work in the field. The ideal candidate must be able to work successfully as a member and eventually as a leader of a project team and independently as necessary to execute assignments.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – civil or environmental preferred

Experience:

  • Entry-level position up to five years of experience. 

Certificates/License:

  • Required at entry: valid driver’s license, Engineer in Training (E.I.T).
  • Preferred but not required: OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER and current on updates.
