Blackstone Environmental, Inc. provided turnkey environmental consulting services to an existing client with respect to acquisition of an adjoining, former gasoline station property for redevelopment. The Client desired to purchase a property that had recently closed and been used as a filling station since about 1931. Property issues included recent use as a filling station/convenience store, three 8,000-gallon USTs present on site requiring closure, and prior assessment work conducted by the State identified that a release to soil and groundwater had occurred on the property. Blackstone assisted the Client in navigating the process to mitigate potential environmental liabilities.
